IP Camera Viewer 2 App Reviews

doesn’t wort at all with Foscam 9805W

It doesn’t work with ONVIF streams.

Crashes almost instantly

Junk. Couldn’t even get through entering a single camera without crashing, repeatedly. When I finally got the camera info entered, no image. Worthless.

Left to die

No longer runs in El Capitan (10.11.6). Before that, was impossible to set up a one year old Foscam

Crashes constantly & no support

What a waste of time and money. Ive tried it on two different yet loaded MacBooks and Im lucky if it keeps running for 20 minutes without a crash. I tried using Lingon to auto-restart but there again, that doesnt work and the developer didnt have much to say.

Not with Foscams

Foscams are difficult to view on the newer Macintosh computers (MacBook Pro). I tried several programs and none, including this one, worked. IPCamera Viewer2 only lists 4-5 Foscam cameras that should work. None of these cameras are the ones I am using, so I shall continue looking. I do believe Foscam needs to improve their software support, especially for Mac. No more Foscams for me!!!!!!

Rip Off

They are not supporting new camera’s and want to charge you $14 for every camera you have.

Works great!

Tastes great too & its less filling. Wait - thats something else. NVM. Downloaded from the app store, it installed itself. Added 6 cameras, and was viewing them live - all within minutes. No hassles! Wish everything was this easy. And for free (with in app purchases if you want added features) its double awesome!

Works

Does work, and is easy to set up. I had the last version. A bit annoying that all they changed in version 2 is how in app purchases work and you cant carry your purchases over from the previous version. Would like to have seen more features. Audio for more then a very limited number of cameras would be nice. If you have several cameras and want to record video from more then one of them, there are better options (as the in app purchases required to do this add up). If you have less then 3 cameras that you want to record video from its a good choice.

No support for Foscam 9821W

I had the original version which worked well with Foscam 8910 cameras. When I upgraded to a 9821W neither the original or Ver 2 of this app supports the 9821W.

An Excellent Piece of Software

IP Camera Viewer 2 does what it says it will do and it does a great job at it. Thank you for making a great product at a reasonable price! Much appreciated. No issues at all. I am running two DLink DCS2332L and the quality and updates/screen refresh live are very good on my iPhone5S. Again Thank you!

not free

This is NOT a free app. For any serious function you need to pay. Also, it does not easily connect to already-installed and transparent IP-camera system. Of my 4 cams it only managed to connect to one.

Cant see my camera

Did not detect DLink 5010L camera that is working on other viewer app.

No Support for TP Link NC200 camera

Got two of these camreas for cheap monitoring, entered all iinformation and app can’t find or connect to them. I can connect to them through my web browser and using VLC. A trial using TP Link’s cloud system also proved that the cameras work. That makes it the app’s author’s problem.

Just what I wanted

I am using 2 cameras in my set up. The Axis was detected automatically by this app. The Trendnet camera was connected manually, but it was a simple process. I have both set up to record on motion and with face detection. That whole set up took 5 minutes at the most. It is working flawlessly. This is a simple layout which is customizable to the amount of cameras you have. I paid the $1.99 to add the recording capability of my second camera. It would be nice to have the ability to save the files to a location other than the Movies folder, especially since I have a huge external drive. Another want, is the ability to FTP an image, either during an event or at a set interval. Good job. Im looking forward to how this will improve.

No ability to pan

This app works fine and is easy to set up but does not have a pan or tilt feature.

Good for video only

Does what it says. However, it would be nice if it would support audio and pan/tilt controls.

Works well for me

Ive been using IP Camera Viewer 2 (PC version) for almost a year now and It works well for me all this time. I have 5 IP wireless camera (Foscam like). Easy to setup once you know what youre doing. Im so thankful that the developer came out with MAC version, which Ive been waiting for since I started using the Windows version. Thanks guys!

works great!!!

It has pan and tilt controls, read the manual, I can pan and tilt my Trendnet cameras, however, it does not pan my D-link DCS-5300.

Great App

This is a great app. I have two pan/tilt Foscam cameras that work great except the audio feature does not work with my cameras.

Very nice application, ans does what it says!

After using BlueIris in the Windows world, I was looking for a good multi-camera recorder for OSX and found this one. Setup took a couple of minutes, and was extremely easy to configure. My only suggestion, and the reason I gave it 4 stars instead on 5 was the fixed location of the date and time stamp in the top, center of the recorded video. A nice enhancement would be the ability to place the timestamp anywhere the user wants on the screen, and the select their own colorfor the timestamp font for maximum visibility. Try this program, and you will not be disapointed - a quality product all around!
